Oasis Digital

EVS Worldwide • Franchise Expansion

Selling a franchise with research instead of a brochure.

EVS had twelve specialist EV service centres across the Gulf and a model worth exporting. Oasis Digital built the marketing programme that takes it international — starting with the one question every franchise investor actually asks first.

The problem

A franchise buyer is not buying the brand. They are buying a market.

Selling franchises is a completely different marketing problem from selling a car service. The customer is an investor committing serious capital to a territory, and the question they need answered is not whether EVS is any good. It is whether their market is worth entering at all.

Most franchise recruitment cannot answer that. It runs on assertion — a glossy pack, lifestyle photography and a claim that the sector is growing. That does not survive contact with someone who wants to know the plug-in fleet size in their country, what share of servicing is genuinely addressable, who already owns the customer and what the law requires before a bay can legally open.

The strategic decision: stop asserting the opportunity and start publishing it.

The strategy

Four decisions that turned an expansion plan into a funnel.

01

Make the research the marketing

Instead of claiming the market was growing, we published the evidence for every territory an investor might consider — and showed the workings.

Fleet size, addressable service pool, competitive set, incentives and regulation, per market.

Built from national vehicle authorities and primary legislation, not aggregator estimates.

The model and its assumptions published rather than hidden.

02

Argue a thesis, not a brochure

The franchise proposition makes a specific commercial argument, which is what separates it from every general workshop opportunity an investor has already seen.

EV servicing is cheaper and less frequent, so a generic garage proposition fails.

The defensible business is high-voltage complexity most independents cannot do.

B2B first: fleets, leasing, insurers and body shops, with consumer work filling capacity.

03

Start the conversation with a territory

Enquiry begins by naming the market under consideration, so the first reply is about a specific place rather than a generic pack.

The market report is sent alongside the franchise pack.

A comparison tool weighs up to four territories side by side, with a shareable link.

Research feeds the funnel; the funnel proves the research was worth reading.

04

Show the support before they sign

Franchise offers routinely promise marketing support. We documented it in enough detail that a buyer can inspect it during due diligence.

The execution

A territory launch, written down in five stages.

Publishing the operating sequence does two jobs at once. It answers the investor’s diligence questions before they ask them, and it commits EVS to a process it can be held to.

01
Market qualification
The territory is assessed against the published research before anything else happens.
02
Anchor demand
B2B accounts — fleets, leasing companies, insurers — are identified before a lease is signed.
03
Technical leadership
The high-voltage lead is recruited early, because capability determines what the centre can sell.
04
Site, fit-out and approvals
Quarantine, isolation, power and access requirements decide which building is even viable.
05
Launch and proof period
The marketing programme runs the opening window, then settles into an ongoing campaign.

What a partner launches with

“You run the workshop. We fill the bays.”

Every franchise offer promises marketing support, which means the promise itself is worthless as a differentiator. So we specified it instead — in enough detail that a prospective partner can evaluate it during due diligence rather than discover it afterwards.

Each territory website runs on the same platform as the rest of the network, so an improvement made for one partner reaches all of them. That is the argument for joining a network rather than opening independently, made concrete.

Why it works

The research and the funnel prove each other.

An investor researching whether to open an EV workshop in Portugal or Thailand finds a report on exactly that. They arrive for the data, not the pitch — which means the funnel captures people at the point they are actually deciding, rather than interrupting them earlier.

Because the reports are built from primary sources and publish their own assumptions, they survive scrutiny in a way a marketing claim does not. And because there are 184 of them, the library keeps working long after any campaign would have stopped: every market is a page, and every page is an entry point.

The same discipline runs through the rest of the platform. The capability tiers, the workshop specification, the launch sequence and the marketing programme are all published rather than promised — so the diligence a serious buyer would demand is already done before the first call.

The outcome

A regional operator, packaged as an international franchisor.

EVS went from twelve centres in four Gulf countries to a franchise proposition that can be evaluated from anywhere in the world, in the buyer’s own market, on evidence rather than assertion. The research library, the published operating model and the territory-led funnel are all one system.
