Backmyrun was created around a simple but powerful idea: race day motivation should feel personal. The app allows runners to create a race, share a unique support link and collect voice notes from friends and family. During the race, those messages can automatically play at key distance milestones, giving runners emotional support exactly when they need it. Oasis Digital designed and built the product from concept through to launch-ready mobile app infrastructure.
Challenge
The product needed to feel extremely simple for runners while handling a complex behind-the-scenes flow: race creation, distance-based milestones, supporter voice notes, audio playback, post-race downloads and paid upgrades. The experience also had to work for two very different users — the runner using the app, and the supporter recording a message through a shared link.
Solution
We designed and developed a mobile-first product experience with clear race setup, supporter sharing, voice note collection, milestone-based playback logic and monetisation infrastructure. The product was built with a scalable technical foundation so future features, race types, premium packages and event partnerships can be added over time.
